I’ve always loved making lunches for my stepson to take to school. Even, as he’s started high school, he asksed me to make his breakfast with a boujee coffee to go in the morning, and a lunch to eat at school.
Now, I realize that this is one of 100 things I have to do in the morning, and I know he was probably old enough to do this for himself. BUT, I want my son to grow up knowing his step mamma loves him, cares for him, and always tries to give him the best in every way. So I gladly spent a few extra minutes for my boy.
PRO TIP: Use what you have, and what your kid likes. Don't make it more complicated than it has to be. Choose foods that you know they'll eat, and have a little fun with it. Shmoosh the apple slices into the shape of a heart, stagger the slices of meat or cheese, leave a note. Just have fun with it.
