This is my go to Thanksgiving stuffing recipe. Now I realize that people have very strong opinions on stuffing and dressing, but this is my favorite. I like it to be chunky, not mushy, so I can tell what all of the elements are in the dish. And I want it to be savory, so there's no fruit here. No raisins, or apples, or dried cherries. Just savory sausage, toasty bread, beefy mushrooms, and lots of deliciousness. For a delicious vegetarian version of this stuffing...
